The Crumb Stash: Longanisa

Little bundles of porky goodness.  It’s usually a breakfast item for Pinoys, served with garlic fried rice or toasty hot pandesal.  There is nothing quite like the aroma of frying longanisa.  It get’s all sticky as the sugar in it starts to caramelize as it cooks.  Mmmmmm….  The ones below were purchased pre-made from the local Filipino market, but I think I’ma try to make my own next time.

Skinless Longanisa – adapted from http://www.recipezaar.com


1.  mix everything together in a large bowl
2.  form into logs and refrigerate or freeze
3.  fry in a little hot oil
4.  eat!
